Blog #9 -Website Review

The website that I found was called internet4classrooms.com and is a technology guide for teachers to use in their classrooms. The content covers all ages, K-12. There is a section for links to other websites for lessons, ideas for activities, and even movies or story books online. Another section is devoted to helping teachers prepare their students for assessments for all grade levels. Several other sections have links to helpful websites for students to use or for teachers to give their students for projects or research. Overall, the website seemed very informative and useful. All of the grade levels were equally represented and so were all of the content areas. The only downside seemed to be the fact that there were so many different links it could get confusing for students or would be easy to stray from the original website. However, with more practice it would be a good resource for teachers to use. Though I did not spend too long looking around, the links to other websites appeared to be credible and quality websites to use as resources for lesson planning.
The link is provided as the title of the Blog post so feel free to visit the site as well!

After visiting the website, I found that it would be a great resource to use in the classroom. I think it is great to have a resource, such as this one, that can be used by both teacher and student. It was helpful that the website was split into sections which made it easy to maneuver around as well as being child-friendly. Another part I found interesting was that the site offered information on training or different presentations that would help teachers become more familiar with integrating technology into the classroom. Under the link to this, it also offers information on where the seminar will be held as well as the time. I did find that there were several websites that could become confusing to students. It would have been more useful if the websites were separated into the different age groups. This would make it easier on children when they are navigating the site, as well as for teachers to find information related specifically to the age or subject level they are looking for.

I think this website can help teacher’s improve technology in their classroom. The more successful technology is in the classroom the more learning experience a child has. I feel this website has a variety of options for teacher’s to use and explore in order to make learning more successful in their classroom. This website also seems like it would be a good website for first-year teacher’s since it offers lesson plans, ideas for activities, movies, and even story books. This website really offers a lot for teacher’s as well as students. In addition, I do feel like this website consists of a lot of great information that teachers can use in order to learn new technology and educational issues and concepts. I agree, this website is a little overwhelming and can get confusing at times but it seems very useful. I think I would use a website like this in order to gather important information that can be used in a classroom of my own!

When I first went to this website it looked really confusing and a lot for students to take in, but it is a very informative website. There are many links that are resourceful to teachers and for students.I like that they provided information for grades k-12 and the fact that there was equal information for all grade levels.

I visited this website and thought it was very useful. I really like the idea of how there are educational movies or storybooks online. I love how there are things for the students to see and use, but there are also items that can help teachers too! I definitely think this website has some great information, but like you said it is hard to get around. I definitely agree that there are a lot of links and students may struggle finding something or going back to where they started!

Lauren,
I also visited this site and I have to agree that it can be very confusing to maneuver around. I strayed from it once and had to go back a ways to get back to the main page. It does have some really great resources though for both teachers and students. I think it could be really handy for students to use when doing projects or for teachers to use for lesson ideas. Did you find this site doing a Google search or how did you find it?
